Over the past few weeks, it's become clear that although morning and evening Zazen helps to start and finish the day on the right footing, if I stuff myself full of sweets - especially those red shoelaces - and sit on the computer for hours and smoke a bit too much, it's a losing battle: there's no way I can do all that and do all that! My brain goes into hyper-mode and I barely remember where I am...
And it's annoying to be half-hearted about stuff - constantly tripping over myself, looking to the next thing, missing what I'm doing.
On days like these, I do an afternoon sitting and start again!
But now, as the Tour De France is on, I'm off again exciting that little brain...but can Lance Armstrong do it? I'll reflect on that whilst I watch the 2nd stage in the mountains!
